Worksman Cycles Company: Two- and Three-Wheeled Travel Since 1898

You’ve probably seen heavy-duty industrial bicycles or tricycles traveling across factory floors or between industrial buildings. Among the manufacturers of these bikes is Worksman Cycles Co., which was founded in 1898 by Morris Worksman in New York City. An interesting tidbit: The first location of the business was on the site that would eventually become the World Trade Center, according to the manufacturer. Pictured here is a Good Humor Ice Cream tricycle, which Worksman Cycles made from the late 1930s to the 1980s for Good Humor. The company makes a variety of bicycle and tricycle types, but since World War II, its primary business has been manufacturing industrial grade tricycles and bicycles.
